Yes, you lucky people will be getting 4,000 sq ft of Sainsbury’s store with 12 apartments housed above. What used to be the cinema’s foyer will be occupied by Ask Restaurants.
There’s a moral to every story. If you want to keep old cinemas like the Cottage Road Cinema and the Hyde Park Picture House alive, you’ve got to throw down some cash and watch films there.
The development should be completed by September 2012.
