1. Fulneck Moravian settlement is a village in Pudsey that was founded in 1744 by Czech members of the Moravian Church. It is a beautiful place situated on a hillside, with a number of listed buildings, including The Fulneck Moravian Chapel, one of the most architecturally significant buildings in Leeds. This is a fantastic place to explore and to get a real taste of local history.

2. Speaking of taste, Fulneck has a real gem of a restaurant. Zachary’s is the kind of place that people are afraid to talk about because they don’t want their secret to get out in case it becomes so popular that they’ll never be able to book a table again. The quality of the food, the service, the value, and its quaint setting combine to make this one the most highly rated restaurants in Leeds.

3. New Pudsey railway station provides easy transport to Leeds city centre and Bradford Interchange. A number of regular bus services are also available that run between Leeds, Bradford, and Halifax. Property to rent in Pudsey is ideally situated for those looking for that picturesque, small town feel, but still need daily access to the loud, brash city.

4. To make the claim “best park in Leeds” would appear to be a rather bold statement that you would expect to be backed up by plenty of cliché adjectives. However, Pudsey Park hasn’t made that statement; but if it did, it would probably just let the facts speak for themselves. The Green Flag Award Scheme recognises and rewards the best green spaces in the country. Pudsey Park has won this award every year from 2004/05 right up to and including 2011/12. It has everything you expect from a park and more, including a kid’s play area, lawn bowls, a bandstand, pet’s corner, an aquarium, an aviary, a tropical greenhouse, a skate park, and a basketball court. Not a bad place to have on your doorstep.

5. Pudsey has a shop local loyalty scheme set up that promotes local retailers. It’s free to participate and rewards one lucky person with £50 in vouchers every month. Bear that in mind when searching for houses to rent in Pudsey, because you won’t get that offer anywhere else.

6. Pudsey is a market town, and although Pudsey market isn’t as large as it used to be, it’s still very much a feature of the town, located next to the bus station. It’s open three days a week. There’s also the monthly farmers’ market to look out for to bag some local produce.

7. The Bankhouse Inn is a popular place for families and walkers. Not surprising really considering they welcome dogs, provide sizable portions of hot food for good value, and has a lovely atmosphere. The perfect stop-off point for your visit to Pudsey Park.

8. Pudsey can provide for your sporting needs with Fulneck golf club, the Pudsey Pacers Running Club, two cricket clubs, and Farsley AFC. Pudsey leisure centre provides a swimming pool, a gym, courts, and a range of classes.

9. Leeds is a city of many restaurants, and of these many restaurants, a good number of them are Indian. So what could possibly be so special about a particular curry house in Pudsey? Well, if you rented professional accommodation in Pudsey, I’m sure this would soon become a regular haunt. I say that confidently because the food at Deeva is actually exceptional. It’s right up there with the best Leeds has to offer.

10. Lastly, renting professional accommodation in Pudsey opens up your children to a number of very good schools, including many primary schools. Pudsey Grangefield School, Priesthorpe School, and Crawshaw School are three notable schools in the area. The historic Fulneck school is also a leading independent school, so you will have quality options to choose from.
