Let Leeds comes to the rescue in the wake of Deregulation Act

At Let Leeds we are constantly looking at new ways to innovate and improve our service to all our customers. Our Landlords rely on us and our expertise to keep them on track and up to date with any new regulations or legislation that they need to comply with.

It can all feel like a bit of a minefield! That is why we have just introduced a brand new solution to help our Landlords stay on top of the changes required by the Deregulation Act.

Letflo is a brand new system designed to help property managers in England efficiently navigate the new minefield of Section 21 compliance.

David Cox, Managing Director of ARLA said:

“The changes to Section 21 brought about in the Deregulation Act 2015 are a minefield for compliance. The most minor error at the start of the Tenancy can put landlords and agents in great difficulty should possession proceedings become necessary. Any system which assists agents in navigating this complex web of regulation will benefit landlords, tenants and agents alike.”

The new software will enable us to keep track of all the relevant documents that Landlords need to ensure their compliance. These include:  

  1. A current Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)
  2. A current Gas Safety Certificate
  3. How to Rent Guide published by the Department for Communities and Local
  4. Government that was valid at the agreement date of the tenancy.
  5. Deposit Protection Certificate
  6. Prescribed Information
  7. Deposit Scheme Terms and Conditions

Let Leeds are proud to be the first adopter of the software in Leeds. Managing Director, Luke Gidney commented:
