What do you do at HOP?
I head up the sales department here at HOP and track the entire sales process for you. Starting with providing valuations and listing properties, through to agreeing the sale and taking it through the sales progression, all the way to a successful completion. I also work closely with our network of investors who are looking to develop their portfolios.
What did you do before joining HOP?
I have worked in the property industry for over a decade, starting at an independent specialising in selling high end homes, then latterly working for two large corporate firms in West and North Yorkshire.
Why did you join HOP?
I joined HOP to grow the sales department and complement the highly successful lettings side of the business. Whilst working for corporate agencies, I found that the customer service and customer journey was often not very high up the list of priorities; whereas at HOP, as a local independent, they really do value their customers. Customer service is so important to me and firmly believe that selling a house doesn’t need to be stressful if you have the right agent! I love estate agency, meeting buyers and sellers and helping them take the next step on the property ladder – it is a really rewarding job.
What are your hobbies?
I love cooking for friends and family, exploring the beautiful Yorkshire countryside with the dog and on horseback. I enjoy skiing, and participating in karaoke during après ski! I also like renovating properties and have bought and sold a few.
An interesting fact about you?
Believe it or not my family descend from Russia, and I have a formal title!
What is your dream home?
Tough question! This changes weekly because I get inspiration from looking around so many different properties. Sometimes I love the idea of a thatched character cottage (pretty much the one featured in ‘The Holiday’!) and other times I think a modern, open plan sociable layout and being able to design my own home from scratch would be the dream. Either way, it would need to have land for the horse!
